“Coming from a background involving all sorts of visual mediums, and so being sensitized towards various ways of communicating through visual language in general, I eventually started focusing on photography a few years ago. Through studies of the architecture of photographs, meaning formal and aesthetic principles that are applied during the process of translating whatever it is into a two dimensional representation – that’s were my interest lies. All the decision you have to make until it’s finally formulated.
I still experience a great excitement for colours and what they mean, what emotions they evoke and how to combine them to alter their meaning. The moment of index, of figuring out just how much you need to show, to suggest, and through it, in one or another image finding one that you haven’t quite seen before and that wasn’t there before you made that decision. Seeing, through a camera, organising all these elements in the frame, that’s just beautiful.“
