Halfdan Venlov’s work exists at the edge of reality and fiction, merging portraiture and arranged tableau. His images focuses on coming of age, teenage identity and a feeling of being out of step with the world. He often works with open narratives, depicting young characters, while allowing viewers to inhabit a space of multiple interpretations.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Halfdan Venlov is a final year student at the Glasgow School of Art, where he studies Fine Art Photography. Halfdan Venlov’s practise is primarily based around darkroom work.
