Jess Gough (b. 1989) is a self-taught film photographer living and working in London.
My recent work concerns our experience of nature and the representation of its presence. I use my camera almost as a navigational tool, a means of studying the textures and kinaesthetic qualities when wandering through new landscapes.
‘Topographies’ is an ongoing series of publications I’m producing, each volume takes a different printed form and explores a particular landscape. Volume II is in the process of emerging from reams of negatives.
