John Guerrero

Born and raised in New York City and immersed in a multicultural environment, Guerrero found inspiration all around him. Picking up a camera was instinctive and a natural means of expression. His efforts to reflect the world around him are seen in various mediums, including editorial, portraits, landscapes or film. This series, taken from his personal travel journal, focuses on by the lure of the American west, its rugged terrain, rural towns and people weathered by time, he set out to explore this expanse where ‘the earth meets the open sky’. Driving alone through South Dakota and Wyoming, he ‘found solace in solitude of the barren landscape in front of me, with miles of open road and not a person in sight, you can’t help but to look inward. Some moments were so still I could hear the beat of my heart.’

Currently John shares his time between New York and London.
