Jose Pedro Cortes

José Pedro Cortes (Porto, Portugal, 1976) studied at Kent Institute of Art and Design (Master of Arts in Photography, 2004) in the UK. His photographic work has been exhibited regularly during the last ten years in Portugal and abroad. He is the author five books, including ‘Things Here and Things Still to Come’, ‘Costa’ and his latest ‘A Necessary Realism’, published to accompany a major exhibition at MNAC – Museu Nacional Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, Lisbon. He is also the founder and co-editor of Pierre von Kleist editions, a photobook publisher based in Lisbon.
