Thomas Pirot

Thomas Pirot (b. 1988) is a photographer from southwest Germany who uses photography as an excuse to talk to strangers. He received his BA in Communication Design from University of Applied Sciences Mainz, Germany in 2016 after spending one semester at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.
Trying to balance intimacy and distance he regularly works as an editorial photographer for a variety of magazines.
Sunbather is a photo series based on smells, sounds, colours and words; connotations. All images were taken in October 2016 in and around the City of Cape Coral, FL. The 2016 presidential race and hurricane Matthew gave every aspect of daily life a feeling of imminent danger.
